Microsoft Visio is a graphic design and collaboration tool, used for several tasks, such as planning, designing a proposal or laying out a series of steps required to achieve a goal. Plan 1 is web-based only, and allows the user to create basic diagrams and share them with colleagues.

Anyone with an Office 365, SharePoint Online, or OneDrive for Business subscription can view diagrams created and shared through Visio Online. This way the entire organization can be involved in the diagramming process. The create and edit capabilities of Visio are not included in Office 365 subscriptions, and require a license of either Visio Online Plan 1 or Visio Online Plan 2, comparisons of which can be found here: Comparison of Visio 1 and 2

Non-Profit Plans for Enterprise

Qualified nonprofits can receive Office 365 Nonprofit as a donation or upgrade to advanced features at a significant discount. To qualify for any of the Enterprise or Office 365 Nonprofit plans, you must hold recognized charitable status in your country and sign Microsoft’s non-discrimination policy. Microsoft reserves the right to verify eligibility at any time and to suspend the service for ineligible organizations.

Organizations must be recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC). 

Public libraries may qualify as an eligible nonprofit organization without charitable status only for on-premises software donations and only where such software is made accessible to the general public.
